What distance should the heat pump be from my spa?
The heat pump is an external unit that can be located anywhere from right next to your spa to a few metres away (depending on the situation).
How does a heat pump connect to a spa or swim spa?
The heat pump is connected to your spa or swim spa via plumbing and electricity cables.
The power for your heat pump comes directly from the spa itself. The heat pump will override the spa’s built in conventional electric element to heat the water.
Important: Be aware that not all spas are compatible with heat pumps. Check with the salesperson if the spa you are interested in or already own will work with a heat pump.
Can I add a heat pump to my existing spa or swim spa?
You can easily switch the heating on your existing spa or swim spa over to a heat pump. Once installed, you should notice a big reduction in your heating bill.
Who installs my new spa heat pump?
When you purchase a heat pump with your spa, the heat pump is in most cases, delivered with your spa pool.
Once you have electricity connected to your spa, please contact our customer support team and they will arrange a heat pump installation with a third-party spa technician.
Important: Please ensure your spa has been filled with water before your heat pump is connected as it requires water inside so the heat pump can be tested after installation.
For further assistance please contact our customer service team via online chat.
Do the pipes for my heat pump need to be insulated?
No, we find that the plastic tubing is a poor conductor of heat so there is minimal heat loss. Typically, heat loss results from a poor fitting cover or the cover being off too long.
