How to perform the Obstruction Detection calibration for the ClearLift™ cover

What’s the purpose of Obstruction Detection for the ClearLift™ cover?

Obstruction detection for the ClearLift™ cover is a safety feature that is designed to prevent the cover from closing if it detects any obstructions or objects in its path. The system uses sensors or pressure-sensitive mechanisms to detect if there is something obstructing the proper closing or operation of the spa cover.

How to perform the Obstruction Detection calibration for the ClearLift™ cover

Here are the step-by-step instructions for calibrating the obstruction detection feature.

Please note: Before doing the obstruction detection calibration, please make sure that you have completed the positional calibration.

Important reminders:
  1. Must make sure the cover is clear and unobstructed prior to performing the obstruction detection calibration.
  1. This should be done in minimal wind. If it's windy, reschedule the calibration for a calm day. Otherwise, the obstruction detection profile will be affected.

Step 1: Press and hold buttons BT1 and BT2 on the Clearlift™ control panel (so the button with the lightbulb graphic, and the hidden button next to it) for 3 seconds. Then, the status LED will flash purple.
Step 2: The cover will open and close three times automatically with no key switch input.
Step 3: After the cover has completed its three open and close cycles, the LED will change to blue. This indicates that the calibration process is complete.
