What is the purpose of the lockable swim spa cover clips product update?

The update aims to ensure swim spa covers meet compliance requirements by swapping the current cover clips on the strap between panels for lockable cover clips.






Which spa models are included in this update?

The models included in this change are Vortex™ Palladium™, Vortex™ Titanium™, and all Swim Spas.

What is the default code for the new lockable clips?

The lock comes with a default code of 00 and can be changed by the customer. 

How many lockable cover clips are installed?      

  1. There are 2 clips (1 on each long side) of Vortex™ Palladium™,  Vortex™ Titanium™, and swim spas up to and including 4.5m.
  2. There are 6 clips (3 on each long side) on 6m swim spas.

From which serial number is the change implemented?

The change has been implemented from serial number H240410023 onwards.

How to change lockable swim spa cover clips

Here’s a detailed, step-by-step guide to changing the code on your lockable swim spa cover clips:

Step 1: Unlock the Clip


Before changing the code, and you must set the correct code, enter the correct combination code to unlock. The default code is “00”.

Step 2: Locate the Reset Button


  1. Open the clip to access the inner side.
  2. Look for a small, round reset button on the inside of the clip.
  3. You will need a screwdriver or another suitable tool to press the reset button.

Step 3: Set a New Code


  1. Use the screwdriver or your chosen tool to press the reset button.
  1. While holding down the reset button, input the new code combination that you want to set.

Step 4: Complete the Reset

After entering the new code, release the reset button. The code will now be updated to the new combination.

Step 5: Set the code on the other clip

Repeat actions from step 1 to step 4 to reset the code on the second clip.

Step 6: Verify the New Codes

After codes are reset on both clips, close and lock the clip.  Enter the new codes to verify that the clip unlocks correctly with your newly set combinations.
