To improve the stability of the pergola models with two or more bays, changes have been made to the centre beam connection to strengthen the pergola structure.
This change will take effect on July 22, 2024, and will impact the Vortex™ pergola ranges, including models 4600, 4600M, 4800, and 4800M.
What are the detailed Vortex™ Pergola Centre Beam Connection specification changes?
1. Improvements to the centre beam end connector fixings.
- Now there are two slotted holes for future maintenance (the holes are marked with a red ‘1’).
- Now there are two additional holes for fastening the connection (the holes are marked with a red ‘2’).
- Now the U-shaped part is made in a larger size to function as reinforcement (the part marked with red‘3’).

- New design of centre beam end connector parts and where it is fastened
2. Reinforcement on the centre beam post
- The centre post now comes with small reinforcements which will prevent warping during high winds (the part marked with red ‘4’).
3. Longer screws for fastening the base plate to the post
4. Booster bar for use with the hex wrench to tighten screws more easily.
