What’s Demo Mode on a Spanet™ SV Series SmartTouch™ keypad?

The purpose of Demo mode in Spanet™ SV Series SmartTouch™ keypad is to allow for the display and demonstration of the spa's features and touchpad functions in a safe and controlled manner without the need for water.

This mode disables all the spa's relays, preventing the activation of pumps, blowers, and heaters, thereby avoiding potential damage to these components during a demonstration.

Additionally, the automatic light timeout feature is disabled, so the LED lights will stay on until they are switched off manually. The touchpad remains functional, and all settings menus can be accessed and adjusted, with changes being saved even when the power is turned off.

The Demo Mode is particularly useful for showcasing the spa to customers or configuring the system before it is fully operational and filled with water.

How to enter Demo Mode on a Spanet™ SV Series SmartTouch™ keypad

Important Precautions: Before activating the Demo mode, it's crucial to note that the spa control needs to encounter an ER3 - Water Prime error.
During the normal priming sequence, the control will try to operate the filtration pump for 10-20 seconds before the ER3 error occurs.
To prevent damage to the pump—should it run dry—it is important to unplug the filtration pump from the SV controller before powering the spa.

Step-by-Step Guide to Enter Demo Mode

Step 1: Disconnect the filtration pump from the spa control before applying mains power to the spa control.

Step 2: Turn on the main power to the spa control.

Step 3: Wait until the spa displays Error 3: Water Prime. Find the small light grey square in the bottom left corner of the error code box, press it for 2-3 seconds, and then release.

Step 4: The screen will change to indicate the activation attempt before returning to the ER3 error. The screen will change to indicate the activation attempt before returning to the ER3 error.

Step 5: Press the small light grey square a second time for 2-3 seconds and release.

Step 6: The Demo mode will then be activated. You'll see a note "DEMO" on the screen confirming Demo mode has been activated.

To exit demo mode, simply reset the mains power to exit the Demo mode and restart the spa under normal operation.
