Important Notes on Power Cord and Installation

Models Without Included Power Cord:

  1. If your spa model is not listed above or is a variant without a power cord, it must be hardwired by a licensed electrician.

Cable Length Considerations:

  1. Total Length: The included power cord is 5 meters long, measured from the spa control box to the plug.
  2. Routing the Cable:
      1. If you exit the cable from the side opposite the control box (e.g., the rear of a 2-meter spa), subtract the spa’s width from the total cable length to determine the length outside the spa.
      2. Example: For a 2-meter spa, the external cable length would be 3 meters (5m total length - 2m spa width).

Flexible Exit Points:

  1. You can route the power cord out of any side of your spa, provided the lead is long enough to reach your power source.

Distance to Power Source:

  1. If the spa is situated farther than the length of the power cord from the power source, the spa must be hardwired by an electrician.

Installation Requirements:

  1. Drilling a Hole: For models with an included power cord, you’ll need to drill a 60mm hole in the cabinet for the lead and plug to fit through.
  2. A cable cover is included in your spa manual pack for a neat finish.

Electrical Work:

  1. All electrical installations and modifications must be performed by a licensed electrician.
  2. Local electrical codes take precedence over any general instructions provided.

Safety and Compliance

  1. Important: Only a licensed electrician should carry out electrical work on your spa to ensure safety and compliance with local regulations.
  2. Always consult your spa’s user manual or contact the manufacturer for specific guidance related to your spa model.

Summary

  1. Determine if your spa model includes a power cord and its specifications.
  2. Consider the location of your spa relative to the power source and plan accordingly.
  3. Engage a licensed electrician for installation to comply with safety standards and local codes.
