Which side should the cover lifter be attached to a Jacuzzi® spa?
The placement of the cover lifter is crucial for the ease of use and functionality of your Jacuzzi® spa. It should be installed in such a way that when you lift the spa cover, it rises on the side opposite where the touchpad is located.
Here are other reasons why the cover lifter should be mounted on the backside of the spa.
- For a J-400 model, the back is higher and shaped differently, so the cover fits only one way.
- You need clear access to the touchpad at the front; the cover shouldn't block it when open.
- The front panel is for servicing, so placing the cover lifter there would mean you'd have to move it for maintenance.
